How does your import service work?
Our import service process is quick and easy. You can either contact our team directly via your local branch, or process your shipment online via our website. The next step is to email the label to your supplier. You then just need to arrange for the carrier to collect and deliver your goods that require importing. 

 

Can you help with import duty and tax paperwork
With the recent changes implemented since Brexit, import duties and taxes can seem complex. This is where we come in and if you have a deferment account, we’ll sort it all for you. There is no need to worry if you haven’t got a deferment account. If this is the case then the carrier will contact CSM and we’ll tell you how much is due. We know how important it is for you to have complete peace of mind that import duties and taxes are taken care of, which is why our team are always just a call or email away should you have any questions or queries. 

 

Can you import large consignments?
In short, yes we can import large consignments. If you have something really large or out of size, please contact your nearest CSM branch with the details of what you want to import and we’ll take care of the rest, it really is that simple!

FAQs

A commercial invoice will be required which must include a sender EORI number and Consignee EORI number (if applicable for B2B deliveries). The correct commodity codes, full description of the shipment and contact details for both parties must also be included.

Yes, shipments can clear in transit or on arrival to their destination.

The time it takes to clear customs will be dependent on what customs processes are deemed to be required. For further information please contact your local CSM branch.

Our couriers don’t use clearing agents as they have their own in-house customs teams.

You must include a Sender EORI and COnsignee EORI number (if applicable), the correct commodity codes, a full shipment description and contact details for both parties. If any other information is required this will be specified and will be handled on a case by case basis.
